This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are diverse, unique and love to be challenged. They approach learning with energy and enthusiasm. In class, they work well independently and in groups. Respecting each others thoughts, ideas and contributions, creates a safe community where students are willing to take risks as learners.

Our school serves students in grades 4-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment.

My goal is to prepare the students for success and ultimately become a productive citizen in our society. The students are highly invested in the pursuit of questions and learn the skills to best approach them through a combination of small group instruction, conferences, and differentiated station-based work.

Every day, I have the opportunity to reach 100 students.

My Project

Here are numerous ways these Chromebooks will be utilized in our classroom.

I want my students to have access to the resourceful educational sites and tools on the web.

Therefore, I would use these Chromebooks as a center where each student would have access on a daily basis to the vast amount of valuable tools for math. Students will be able to practice basic math facts, play math games, work on different educational websites for reinforcement of the skills taught in whole group.

Our students are tested on Chromebooks, so the daily access and hands-on practice with them will give them the upper hand when it comes time to test. The possibilities for what they can do with the Chromebooks are out of this world!
