My Project

We are a proud Title I school where we are privileged to serve 500 incredible students. Our mission is simple but powerful: to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we serve. These students are not just learners; they're the heart of our community. We have taken steps toward creating outdoor learning spaces on our campus, understanding that the environment in which our students learn plays a crucial role in their growth. The transformation was more than physical; it was an emotional shift as well. We saw firsthand the positive impact outdoor spaces had on our students, igniting their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. As a Title I school, the majority of our students come from low-income households, and many of them face challenges that limit their opportunities. It is with this understanding that we have made it our goal to create a space that will allow teachers to conduct lessons outside the traditional classroom walls and provide students with the chance to connect with nature while they learn.

We hope to nurture our students' love of learning, improve academic performance, and support their mental/ physical health in ways that go beyond traditional classrooms.

This project is not just about building a classroom, it is about building a foundation for a brighter future for students. Together, we can give them the space they deserve to grow, explore, and thrive.

The items we are requesting will be stored just inside our building so that all teachers and students have access to the math manipulatives, clipboards, and utensils before they head outside to learn amongst the fresh air and sunshine. The speaker will be used for any music or stories for lessons. The raised beds and gardening materials will be used so the students can begin growing plants and learning from the earth.
