Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school has focused a lot on bringing text to our students and teaching them that books can act as windows and mirrors into other people's lives. We know the importance of understanding other people's perspectives and how powerful it is to learn how to empathize with others.

We want to continue inspiring our students to also take responsibility for their role in contributing to making this world a better place.

Through this novel study, we are hoping to shed light on the different ways we can support climate and environmental change that impacts our society but also the animals that live in our ecosystem. Our world is made better from learning how to make small changes at a young age and taking ownership over healing the world we live in.
