My Project

Relationships with my students start as soon as I get my class list! This year, I would love to surprise my students with a goodie bag before the first day of school. Many students feel anxiety and worry about going to school, meeting a new teacher, and making new friends, so I want to help make this transition something they can feel better about.

You are helping to impact my first grader's very first experience and get them excited about what's to come!

They will get a book (which I'll include a QR code of me reading) that they can listen to the night before school. They'll get a sleep mask to help them with sleep that can be hard to get before the first day! They will also get a bracelet to wear to know I am thinking of them, a pencil, and a treat. These items will mean so much to my students and let them know that their new teacher is excited and cares for them.
