This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our new normal of teaching is taking a lot to get used to but my students and I are learning to adapt and roll with the punches. Every week seems to be getting a little easier, but with the constant changing of our learning styles: 100% virtual to hybrid to 100% face to face we are being faced with many new challenges.

My students have so much potential, and I strive to provide them with everything they need in order to succeed!

Through my experience, teaching is much easier and the students show more growth when necessary materials are available for use in our classroom. Unfortunately, I cannot always provide the necessary materials.

My Project

We have been in school for 8 weeks now and we have been experiencing so many new changes. We started off as 100% virtual and then transitioned to a hybrid model. In one week we will be 100% face to face with a handful of students still learning virtually.

Each transition poses new issues that need to be tackled.

Right now my class is experiencing not begin able to charge their Chromebooks because there is a lack of outlets in our classroom. Having these extension cords and power strips will help me make sure my student's have the ability to charge their Chromebook when their battery is draining. Chromebooks are a necessity in our new normal and not having the tools to keep them functioning is hindering my student's learning.
