My Project

My students are eager learners and are shaping into fine young readers and writers, too! They just need a little help.

During independent reading, they often take issue with the harsh overhead lights in the classroom, which pushes them out of their reading zones, and the various noises that happen in and around a middle school in Brooklyn only further challenge their focus.

With the table lamps and noise cancelling headphones, students can engage in independent reading and writing like never before.

There are also a number of students who have such great skills when it comes to reading comprehension, but struggle with decoding. Being able to listen to the books as they read can help them close that gap and better prepare them for years to come.
