My Project

This project is an accumulation of items that are needed in ourclassroom. I think we all have that list on our refrigerator or somewhere that we keep adding miscellaneous things that we need to pick up the next time we're at the store. This is that.

Classrooms take a lot of materials to keep 24 student minds engaged for long learning days.

Efficiency is key to keeping things running smoothly and transitioning well. The work of preparing meaningful lessons and having the materials ready to go for those lessons is essential for teaching and learning. That work is made easier when the teacher and students have what they need.

I have found myself moving the same set of 5 math spinners between multiple math games and have decided for efficiency, having multiple would be best. The same goes for class sets of editing and publishing pens for writing. Even the noise cancelling headphones, rather than sharing the cheap few that we have, it would be more equitable for all students to have access to a good set to help them focus whenever they need.

Other supplies are running low or wearing out and that makes it hard for our classroom to run efficiently. From paper, laminating, stapling, and sharpening, to simplified lessons and anchor charts found on TPT. We have some "Need to Get" items in our classroom. We have amazing students who have helped us get by with sharing and making do with what we have, but they deserve quality and new things too.
