Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in general at this school are eager to learn. Most are from Hispanic descent striving to reach their educational goals. Some are the first generation born in the United States. The family's dreams are riding on these children's shoulders. They have tremendous potential! I am very proud of them.

My Project

I am a substitute teacher covering a vacant 2nd grade teaching position. I have no materials to make the learning process fun and special. I want all of the materials chosen by me and donated by you to create excitement for my students. I want them to be proud of what they are learning and look forward to coming back to class everyday.

I want them to go home and talk to their parents about how "special" their classroom is and how they have the best learning resources at their disposal.

All materials ( the timer, the wipe board erasers, the clipboards, the posters, learning tools like telling time clock, the magnetic money, etc) will be set up in the classroom and will be used for in-person learning. All of us enjoy using and owning new things. I can just imagine the students faces when they see a new, full set of classroom materials. I am sure they will be encouraged to do their best everyday!
