Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in a special education classroom made up of students who are autistic. Our school is located in a low income area in the Bronx.

Everyone in my classroom works hard to create a positive learning environment for the students.

In order for my classroom to run smoothly, we have a structured environment where students have clear visual boundaries for different areas. Each student learns differently and we adapt everything to meet their individual needs.

We strive hard for our students to succeed and be independent!

My Project

These materials will help keep my students be engaged by being able to explore the life cycle of butterflies. By using these materials my students will work together to learn the different stages of animals lives. My students will use the books, nursery, and learning center to enhance their knowledge on life cycles.

The benefit of science for kids is tremendous!

My students can use the knowledge that they learn and apply it to when they are out in their environment. The students in my class will learn how to work together by being part of a team, and how to take care of other living beings. With your support we can give my students these valuable skills!
