My Project

In an effort to add more relevance and equity to my classes. Building relationships with my students is imperative to helping them become positive thinking problem-solvers, emotionally and academically. When encountering literature, the idea of representation of faces we show the world versus the facades we hide when we are away from the world is an increasingly popular theme. Using the Face Masks, paint, and other elements will allow us to create and have an interactive experience that relates to the literature but also to dig deep in thought and perspectives. My students often have many social-emotional concerns that come into the classroom. I want to use art, hands-on activity, and creativity to merge them with literature to allow the students to explore their pain safely through characters in books. I am hoping to help them to attempt to move toward healing. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student engagement, attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
