My Project

Help Us Fuel a Love for Reading!

My students are on a thrilling journey through the world of reading, diving into exciting stories that whisk them away to far-off places!

Unfortunately, our adventures have been limited to printed PDFs and YouTube read-alouds, which means we've been missing out on the magic of holding a real book. This project will finally grant my students access to actual class sets of books, putting an end to my printer's overtime and allowing us to embark on novel studies filled with myths, legends, dragons, talking hamsters, and even sinking ships! Imagine the joy on their faces when they get to explore these captivating tales firsthand!

Upgrading our bookshelf situation is a must! My current bookshelf, which I bought on Amazon, has seen better days—let's just say it has a tendency to collapse at the most inconvenient times. Upgrading to two sturdy, high-quality bookshelves would be a dream come true and would ensure our cherished books are treated with the respect they deserve.

Lastly, I’m excited to introduce flexible seating options that will help my students focus on the stories rather than their wiggly wiggles! In our Title I school, many students lack access to books and may not have the support at home to explore the literary world. With your help, we can open the door to a universe of stories, ensuring they experience the joy of reading beyond textbooks.
