My Students

The challenges my students face are the cuts being made in school districts. This limits their ability to grow cognitively during the first 5 years of preschool in a developmental way. The children will benefit much more if materials were given to supply their needs.

My students are a group of exciting children who come from an environment of low economics.

They are eager to learn through their play environment which would develop their small minds into a more creative way to learn new techniques. They attend one of the Early Education Center in the heart of Los Angeles(Watts).

My Project

If more resources were available to the classroom and children they would not only be happy but, it would also teach them a sense of independence in their own thinking of how to problem solve situations. The students would enjoy hands on experiences in all the concepts of early math building skills. I look forward to having the following items funded which includes transparent color chips, sorting bowls, attribute apples, preschool math curriculum package, color & shape bingo, and colors & shape match games. The children will have a long lasting excitement for learning math skills through games.

This project is important to our students because it will give hope and inspiration and a will to learn in a positive hands-on experience knowing that they are well worth the investment.

It would increase a cognitive learning which would be the key to success.
