This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Students will have more classroom resources to express themselves creatively. Students will be provided with the materials that won’t limit their artistic practices or abilities. This year we will explore collage, sculpture, watercolor, and many other mediums that they haven’t tried before. Students will also explore self regulation, self awareness, and culture through the arts. The materials on the list will ensure that my students have the free range to create while also supporting them in other aspects of their lives. I will keep my classroom equipped with an essentials cart that will house hygiene for the students, so that some of their concerns or worries about a lack of resources at home, will be eliminated so that they can work effectively in class. The storage items on my list will be used for those things.
