My Project

This classroom is made up of 9 students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade with autism. My students love exploring to meet their sensory needs. They have lots of energy and spirit. Some of our challenges are due to not having the appropriate materials to help meet their wide variety of sensory needs.

The sensory sequin panel, spin board, the cozy cavern den, the northern lights projector, and the aquarium gel pad will help aid their regulation and ability to focus.

At this time, I am working with a blank canvas. The materials I have chosen have a specific student and sensory need in mind. Having these appropriate materials to explore those needs will help with their ability to focus and meet their sensory needs in an appropriate manner.
