The Magic of One Bubble Lamp Is Priceless!

My Project

We have recently moved our Bridges Learning Center program to a new building and are trying to make the sensory room of our dreams! Better yet, a sensory room for ALL of the students! Fortunately, we were able to use some of the equipment we had before and our resourceful staff have also used their imaginations to make the sensory room successful.

In order to better meet ALL of the students unique sensory needs, we have to make some improvements in the sensory room.

We want to create a safe, calming space for each student to use to help with self-regulation. The bubble lamp has been on our wish list for years. It will meet the needs of our students with autism, students with sensory issues, students with ADHD as well as our students with social/emotional issues. Also, the bubble lamp is an item that we have found a majority of the students benefit from. Whether it is to calm and soothe an over simulated student or to aid in getting a nonreactive student to engage.

I am so extremely proud to say we have a very diverse and unique group of kiddos, from kindergarten up to the kiddos in our high school transition program. The bubble lamp is an item that will be used by students of all ages and disabilities for years to come.
