Help me give my students who can not afford to purchase a trombone or baritone the opportunity to be a part of the band. Thank you for helping me to put these instruments in hands of students.

A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I am blessed to teach a diverse group of intermediate and beginning band students with all different backgrounds at three different buildings throughout the Caesar Rodney School District. The students that I work with are resilient, hard-working, and eager to learn. I focus on meeting the needs of every student in a small group, a large group, and a performance setting.
Through learning a new instrument, I focus on teaching students skills that will help them find success in the 21st century.
As a band director with a Master's degree in technology, I also provide students with online resources to promote learning outside of school. Playing an instrument provides students an outlet to work and develop coordination, cognitive skills, multi-tasking skills, social skills, team-building skills, and this list is endless. Words can't express how thankful students are to have the opportunity to learn and make music again post-COVID.
My Project
The two instruments that are being requested are in need now as our district does not have any more of these instruments to lend to students. The district currently doesn't have any funding available at this time for this purchase.
Please help me provide students in need with the opportunity to learn a musical instrument.
Currently, the baritone student is able to play a school baritone during lessons and rehearsals but does not have an instrument to practice at home. Due to the size of the baritone, our district loans a baritone to a student which can be kept at home to practice during the school year and then is returned at the end of the school year to be cleaned. The trombone student is a very talented musician who is currently borrowing my personal instrument. The requested trombone would be given to this student to use and then I could use my trombone during the trombone lesson to play along and model proper playing techniques.
Thank you for considering donating and providing our band students in need with an equitable band experience.
