My Students

The science we do in class is hands on but there our those times you must read about the new ideas in science and how science works in the real world. I am asking for the Scholastic Science Magazine.

The students in my class our usually faced with economic hardships of some kind.

My school has been a Title I school for several years. The students do have a willingness to learn and have made me very proud every year with their results on standardized test. Only about a third of my students have working computers at home which causes both the student and teacher to be creative when it comes to projects. Majority of my students have not been out of the state in which we live in, and see the outside world through what they read, see on a computer or are told. My students are awesome.

My Project

Remember when you did your first science activity at school or home. Did it spark some interest in that field of science? This is how I hope I inspire my students to learn more. In my class hands on activities are a must in order for students to discover for themselves the answers to questions they seek. However, with all the hands on activities there is still a place for reading material that supports scientific facts. Science is always changing and keeping up with the study of science I am asking for my students to have Scholastic Science Magazines in the classroom. The students will enjoy having these magazines to enhance their learning.

Please help us enhance our learning of science for the future doctors, pharmacy, and engineers that our country is need of.

My money as a teacher goes mostly for the paper, pencils and hands on activities. Help us learn more about the study of science.
