My Students

This will be my first year at a four star school that has an equally balanced population of young minds. A good portion of the students will ride the bus to get here! This will be a year of firsts, for myself and the four-six year old students who will begin their new adventures. This may be their first exposure with school, and possibly the first time away from parents! As these young kindergartners enter this new world, they need to have an inviting, safe place to be.

My Project

Reading is everything! Some of these young Kindergartners may have never opened a book before, while others read or are read to all the time. I want to create a space with a variety of picture books on various reading and interest levels so that these young scholars can learn the enjoyment of books.

BOOKS will not only take you new places but will also teach you new things.

My idea is to create a fun reading nook so the students have the option to choose vibrant books that will hold their interest and teach them the love of learning.
