This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 26 kindergarten students this school year who are full of energy and, most importantly, eager to learn. They love to read and learn many subjects. They enjoy their classroom because it is full of fun activities and comfortable.
Students learn multiple subjects throughout the day including physical education indoors and outdoors.
They love reading and doing science experiments. They are very eager to learn every day and are learning to be the best that they can be. They love their classroom and want to learn something new every single day!
My Project
This school year has been challenging for many of our young scholars during distant learning. I want to help maximize instruction for my scholars to make sure that they receive the best foundational skills instruction. These journals will help kinder students increase not only phonics instruction but will help them with their fine motor skills. Part of my instruction is increasing sight word recognition as well as sound-spelling patterns. These journals will be integrated daily with the curriculum I am using. Scholars will have their journals personalize as well as receive rigorous foundational skills daily.
