My Students

I teach Second Grade. Every day brings new ideas, new questions, and new arguments. Students are learning daily how to navigate life. Their love of learning is only challenged by their love for play. Every single one of them loves a challenge and they are only held back by my ability to raise the bar.

Our world needs more creative engineers, without them our world's biggest problems may go unsolved.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, create, and explore real-world ideas and technologies. This project will not only help me cultivate the skills that are necessary to future-ready my students, but it will also give me opportunities to expose them to engaging content and technology that dives into real-world problems.

My Project

Every one of my students is fascinated by technology and learn best when something is hands-on and tactile. Technology continues to be at the forefront of current careers, and I continue to work to find new ways to incorporate it into our learning routines.

This project offers me a chance to prepare my students for creative problem-solving and give them an opportunity to partner and team up with one another to be successful.

I will be using the Raspbery Pi's in a variety of projects that incorporate reading, social studies, mathematics, and science. The lessons students participate in will expose them to engineering ideas needed to solve the world's biggest problems. Raspberry Pi is an inexpensive way to allow students to code their own math games, build robots, and explore using circuitry. My students are already intrigued by technology, but now I can use it as a tool in the learning process.
