Mission possible??? I teach 6th grade, inner city students in a large urban school district. My greatest pleasure is integrating 6th grade Social Studies, Science and Math concepts into my Reading and Language Arts instruction. My challenge is to design instruction that is focused, specific, constructive, timely, flexible, efficient, diagnostic, motivating, accurate and FAST! No problem! What better way to work with disadvantaged students than to scaffold new learning using a modality that they are familiar with; TV!

Enter the lively and interactive LCD projector! With an LCD projector I will be able to display conceptual and cultural resources quickly and in an interactive way. An LCD projector will allow for instruction that is large enough to be accessible to everyone. An LCD projector will help engage students as a group, in a classroom characterized by eclectic behavior, learning styles and need!

A LCD projector in my classroom, will make the invisible, visible! By helping provide a projector, you will be allowing my students to see concepts in action. They will become knowledgeable, competent and more confident, through lessons that are thought provoking, connected and image rich. Your gift of an LCD projector will make me my student's thinking partner, moving them from the general to the specific, simple to the complex and known to the unknown! Your gift of an LCD projector will help guide the learning of students who have few advantages, and adjust the odds that their future will be a happy and productive one.
