This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very important to me. I consider my students my children. I may have not given birth to them but they are all mine. These children come from low income homes and are unable to afford the simplest things such as pencils and notebooks. My classroom is all ENL students or English as a New Language students. They are learning the language for the first time and visuals are so important. The best way for them to learn is to have visuals around the classroom as well as technology that is hands on. They are beautiful children that need so much to learn to better enhance the understanding of the English language.
My Project
As a teacher of 20 English Language learners I have learned organization is the key. The folders that the children's parents could afford are paper and rip so quickly. The resources for the folders are usually lost even though I spend hundreds of dollars to print all of them. I want to help them organize their information. With these folders for each subject the students will be to use their resources for math, writing , reading, fundations and homework folders.
Organization is key for the educational development of an English language learner.
With your support in helping organize their resources with these special folders they will be able to retain more information because they will know where to find the answers the need.
