My Project
For the past 12 years of teaching, I have seen firsthand the transformative effect that the simple ukulele can have on the lives of students. Learning to play this 4-string wonder opens up new vistas of learning and self-expression for elementary and middle school students.
The students at my new school have yet to experience the joy of the ukulele, and I want to share this with them!

My students are excited to learn new instruments, and the ukulele is the ideal instrument for achieving many goals.
In learning to play the ukulele, students will accompany themselves and find their voice. They'll build their independent musicianship, improve their reading skills (learning new songs) and enhance their collaborative skills as they learn to play new songs in groups with their classmates.
