Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal for this project is to be able to provide my students with the resources necessary to engage in play without the need to connect through a phone or computer screen. Since we came back from the pandemic, students have had a harder time connecting with each other beyond social media.

I noticed that students find it easier to engage with each others through genuine and intentional play.

Unfortunately, I haven't updated my board game collection since my 1st year of teaching, which was 8 years ago! My students have used my games to the point they are too worn to even enjoy. I would like to provide them with a greater selection and games that are new. They are deserving of resources that are in great condition and can be use for years to come.
