Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The supplies I requested are part of a school wide intervention to support young readers. I find that my students enjoy learning in groups while sitting on the carpet. I plan to use the table and the highlighters for an editing station. The bean bags will be used for individual or small reading groups. The headphones will be used for literacy apps for independent learning.

We need to be sensitive to diverse learners' needs and provide comfortable spaces for students to thrive as readers and writers.

We are a Title I school, and we are doing numerous reading interventions. These materials would be greatly appreciated, and I have seen success with this in other classrooms and in reading about teaching reading.
