My Project

My English Language Learners will be exploring The Industrial Revolution. A collection of books related to this time in history will help them learn how advancements in steam engines contributed to urbanization and mechanization. These books will allow them to understand how the development of the factory system changed lives in ways that are still felt today.

In addition to nonfiction books about The Industrial Revolution, I have also requested a graphic novel set which will allow students to build background knowledge together.

All of these books will help students build key vocabulary as they learn important social studies content.
