Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I coach Girls Weight Lifting at my school. My athletes are high schoolers and we will be training/ lifting Monday through Friday and competing once a week. In order for my athletes to train at a high level and get the most out of training they must learn the importance of recovery.

The foam rollers will allow my athletes to self administer deep tissue massage that will help them continue to train at a high level.

Foam rolling releases muscle knots, relieves inflammation, and improves overall comfort. It can also increase your range of motion, flexibility, and mobility while boosting circulation and lymphatic flow.

The ab mats will give my athletes cushion on their knees when performing certain stretches as well as provide them cushion when working on core strength which is very important in lifting weights.
