"It is not an either-or situation—intentional, playful learning and rigorous, standards-based instruction can coexist and support each other. After two years of disrupted development and limited opportunities for children to collaborate and be creative, we must look at this as an integration opportunity. How can we weave playful learning into instruction in order to create and attain deeper learning? Let them play." (naesp.org)

Imagine a place inside the classroom where a space can be transformed from a kitchen into a restaurant, a restaurant into a bakery, a bakery into a grocery store...the sky is the limit!

While using their imaginations and creativity, children learn the foundational skills of reading, writing, counting, and more all while learning to regulate their emotions and work with others!
