My Project

"The Hygiene Closet: Student-Led Hygiene Support Initiative" was created to establish a discreet, accessible hygiene closet at school, providing essential hygiene products for students in need, managed by student volunteers.

"The Hygiene Closet" is designed to ensure that all students have access to hygiene products, including deodorant, wipes, pads, and tampons.

This initiative will promote a supportive school environment, encourage empathy among students, and foster leadership through peer distribution. Our plan is to create or Identify a private, secure location within the school (e.g., nurse's office, counseling center) for the closet and we plan to stock the closet with a variety of hygiene products: deodorants, wipes, pads, tampons, and other essentials. For this project we plan to engage students who are interested in leadership and community service to take charge and run the closet during certain periods a day. Each student leader will be trained and during the training we will focus on confidentiality, respect, and effective distribution methods.

Each student leader will take on a specific roles, such as inventory management, restocking supplies, and distribution.

The student leaders will be asked to create a simple, anonymous request system for students in need, ensuring privacy and comfort.
