My Students

My scholars are a cultural melting pot. We are located in the crown heights section of Brooklyn, NY. A majority of our scholars are from the Caribbean islands, West African and right here in Brooklyn, NY.

Our scholars are provided with academic skills and critical thinking abilities they need to succeed in a college preparatory high school.

What makes our scholars special is their inquisitive nature. They are eager to ask questions and question the answers! We're eager to start.

My Project

Our school curates an African American museum each year. Scholars create their own exhibits and educate each other about African American history. This year we are focusing on literature written by African American authors.

Our scholars need their own personal copies of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas, to fully dive into her work and curate exhibits surrounding the text.

Your donation will help dive deep into the book and give each scholar their personal copy! Scholars will research three different topics as they are related to the book: identity, criminal justice and activism. We are excited to begin.
