Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am starting the schools first ever Green Team. The students in the school are all eager to work hard and learn something different outside the main subjects curriculum.

The hydroponics garden and herbs will allow the students to start the school's first grow lab.

The students will learn the skill of growing herbs and the importance of putting food on their tables. Students learn best when they are able to use hands on materials.

The materials will also allow students to learn responsibility, teamwork and make lasting friendships. The Green Team is dedicated and will meet once per week to meet on important community issues such as saving energy, waste, saving water and wellness. These meetings will promote conversations between students with disabilities and multi lingual learners.
