My Project

Having a health aide class is important because it equips students with essential skills needed for providing care and assistance to patients, including basic medical knowledge, first aid, and patient handling techniques. It opens pathways to various careers in the healthcare field, such as personal care aide, home, health aide or nursing assistant. it enhances understanding of healthcare practices, medical terminology, and the importance of patient rights and ethics. which is crucial for anyone entering the healthcare profession. Trained health aides can significantly improve the quality of care in the community especially for the elderly and disabled, ensuring they receive the support they need. This class will help my students build confidence in dealing with patients and medical situations in the near future which is vital for effective care giving.

My goal is to prepare my students to work in the medical field.

I am going to teach them the proper way to use a blood pressure machine, thermometer and pulse oximeter on one another and explain to them what it is used for and the benefits of having it. After every lesson I will show them the proper way to sanitize and the instruments just like if they are in a medical institution.
