My Students

In my classroom, students learn that science, technology, engineering and mathematics can be creative, exciting, and fun. Students learn STEM by addressing "real-world" problems in our community, city, and beyond.

My students' families come from all around the world and from many different living situations at home.

Our differences strengthen us, and we're all members of a positive classroom community.

My school is a place where all learners are embraced and supported with a positive learning environment. Project-based learning, personalized learning, and multi modal instruction make sure that every student has an opportunity to learn however they learn best.

My Project

It should require little explanation why having computers available in the classroom can transform the learning environment. As adults, we use computers constantly, especially in the academic and professional capacities that teachers are tasked with preparing students for. Having access to technology during the school day is, unfortunately, not a guarantee, and I've made it my mission to expand access to technology in my school.

The Chromebooks I've requested in this project will be used daily by my students to access a host of curricular resources from an online learning platform, called Summit Learning, which ensures each student an individualized learning experience.
