This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the absolute privilege of teaching 1st Grade at the elementary school that I attended! I am dedicated to providing my students with enriching experiences despite the many challenges that they face. Over 90% of our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, so our resources are limited. To help support the diverse needs of my students, I am seeking your help to purchase gift cards for Teachers Pay Teachers, a platform that has high-quality educational materials created by teachers, for teachers. These gift cards will provide me with access to TPT’s wealth of resources, saving valuable time that would otherwise be spent creating materials from scratch.

With these gift cards, I will be able to select resources that are tailored specifically to the diverse needs of my students.

This will not only enhance our classroom environment but also ensure that each student receives the personalized attention necessary for their academic growth.

First grade is a pivotal year for students, especially for growth in reading skills! Your generous support will directly impact the educational journey of my students, by empowering them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
