My Project

Most of my Transitional Kindergarten students are experiencing a real classroom for the first time, ever! The children are going to be learning many skills this year that will set the foundation for their school career for the next 14+ years to come. One of the most important skills is learning to love to read! The materials I have chosen for my project will be used by my students both in whole group and small group lessons.

The Scholastic Magazine is a monthly non-fiction source that will teach my students about the world around them through science and social studies.

The books on CD will be used at the listening center I have set up each day.

Early literacy is essential for setting up a solid foundation for learning.
