Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The requested materials will make an incredible impact on my classroom and my students. I know there are a lot of students who are in situations where they may not be able to get their own school supplies. I want my classroom to be a way to help counteract that problem. This is why I requested a lot of writing utensils such as pens and highlighters. I have ordered a chair for my classroom for my students to use. This is beneficial because it will provide comfortability, which is essential for maintaining focus and engagement during lessons.

My students are extremely bright and creative so I love allowing them to tackle assignments their own way.

The reasons why my students are special is because they contribute to a diverse and vibrant learning environment, where their curiosity and creativity inspire not just their peers but also their teachers. Their ability to overcome challenges and their eagerness to learn make them remarkable individuals who are not only growing academically but also developing into thoughtful, compassionate members of society.

In the computer science world, there are challenging topics and concepts to grasp. The idea of having students write out definitions and highlight key terms is essential to learning these new ideas. I will use the whiteboard markers to visualize examples of code and have students do the same! They can come up to the board and fix errors in code and create their own code by hand. I ordered Computer Science posters to not only brighten up my classroom, but so the students can learn from them. These posters serve as a reminder for students on why Computer Science is crucial to the world. I know these materials will go a long way and help create success in my classroom!
