My 3rd grade ICT class is made up of 30 unique students who are eager to learn. My students walk into the classroom bringing diverse styles of learning and abilities. I want to enhance their learning experiences in the classroom by providing them with the technological tools to be successful in this high-tech society we live in.
Our class walls do not limit our learning!
My students have diverse learning abilities and with the use of the Chromebooks I will be able to reach all types of learners. This will provide the opportunity for each students to learn at his or her own pace. For example, a student who struggles with decoding can work on this skill with the use of various phonics apps. Struggling writers can put their words onto paper with the use of voice recording apps, eliminating the frustration of writing mechanics. Students can also be challenged in all subject areas with access to vocabulary builders, online STEM activities, as well as access to current events and other forms of non-fiction texts.
My Project
Students will be using Chromebooks each day for various learning activites. My students will be able to challenge themselves at their own pace creating an authentic learning experience. The use of the Chromebooks will help reach all learners, targeting specific needs/skills. Having a Chrome Education License will make managing groups effortless and transitions smooth.
We will be enhancing their technological foundation that every child needs now and in their future.
Students will be using Chromebooks to collaborate on projects, providing the skills and tools they need for success. Collaborating with the use of Chromebooks will aid in students abilities to communicate with one another through technology.
