This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students help each other to succeed. They support each other throughout our new learning experiences as we are using iPads in the classroom.

My students love to use technology.

They build a positive learning environment where they feel comfortable to ask anyone for help, and all the students are willing to support each other. They are always willing to help each other understand not only the concepts but also how to incorporate technology in the classroom. My students come from a low income area. They have many needs, but that does not stop them from striving to do their best.

My Project

My students are from a low income community. They have very limited access to technology. I like to expose my students to a variety of experiences in the classroom. I would love to expose them to the world of robotics and coding. I believe that exposing students to robotics, coding and technology allows students to be more comfortable in these areas and be more prepared for the 21st Century. This is more important for our girls that seem to shy away from anything that has to do with technology. These robots would help my students improve their critical thinking skills as they work with these robots. They would also improve their problem solving and higher order thinking skills through the use of coding.
