Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of the plays chosen for this project are contemporary Pulitzer Prize winning plays that represent and celebrate the diversity of the student population in my school.

I cannot express how deeply important representation matters in the texts and media that my students interact with.

It allows them to see themselves and each other in a larger world and to imagine never before considered possibilities. This is truly the power of theater.

My students will be able to apply their critical thinking, dramaturgical and performance skills to the study of these wide range of texts.
