My Students

My students are bright, curious, hard-working 6th graders at a social justice humanities magnet program at a Los Angeles public school. I learn new things from my students everyday - their brilliance, compassion and humor never fail to inspire me!

This is my students' first year in middle school, and the first year back in the classroom after over a year of closures due to COVID-19.

My goal is to make this the best year ever for my students. They are kind, caring, and want to change the world - help me make their dreams a reality!

My Project

My students are avid readers with a broad range of interests and reading levels. Some of my students love horror stories, others love fantasy series, while others love graphic novels. I would love to have a library full of books to keep my students excited about reading.

As a teacher, it is so exciting to find just the right book to spark a student's interest.

Having a classroom library full of different options and genres will help me do just that! When a student learns to love books and reading, the whole world opens up to them. The more books that are available, the better!
