Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The school I teach at is a Title I funded school and the majority of our families are considered low income. These supplies will take the burden of purchasing new supplies off of the families and make it so all students have exactly the same supplies to use each day. These materials will help my students be successful at completing tasks and learning at school.

I work with a diverse population of students who have varying needs and benefit from interactive lessons.

The supplies that are being requested include bulletin board paper and other decorative items to be used to create a comfortable learning environment. This is so important for this particular demographic of students because their lives outside of school can be very chaotic. My goal is to make them feel comfortable so they learn to the best of their ability.
