My Students

"No book is really worth reading at the age of ten which is not equally and often far more worth reading at the age of fifty and beyond." C.S. Lewis. Reading and listening to books will help my class be lifelong readers.

My thirty-five energetic fourth graders are a happy, diverse and curious group.

They are looking forward to school everyday and have a very positive attitude toward all subject areas. One of the subject areas they love is reading. They are happy when I read to them or they read to each other.

My Project

I am asking for a CD player and a set of books that come with matching CD's. This combination will allow my students to read independently while listening to the book on CD. My English language learners will be able to hear the correct pronunciation of words they may not be familiar with. This combination of items will help everyone in the class become the best readers they can be.

The CD player, books and CD's will benefit my students by enhancing their listening skills along with their reading skills.

If you can get a child to read, the impact will not only help him or her today but give them a better future in all areas of their life.
