My Students

My classroom is filled with gifted and talented students that come from a variety of backgrounds and commute from all boroughs in New York City.

My students are enthusiastic learners with various different learning styles.

They have interesting personalities and unique interests. Some kids like to sit at their desks and learn, and others like to sit in the library so that they can stretch their legs and have more open space.

My Project

We had an older classroom rug, that was supposed to be shampooed prior to the first day of school. When I asked for it to be cleaned, it disappeared from my classroom and hasn't been returned since. I spoke with school administration and the custodians, but it was nowhere to be found. We need a rug for our classroom library! It provides an area for kids to read during reading time, also allows for me to work with my small groups, and allows students space when working on projects.

Any donations to this project will help provide my students with the space that they need to openly read, work on assignments, be able to work in a small group, or to work one-on-one with me.

My students will finally have the opportunity to work at a place besides at their desks.
