This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we enter our 7th year as a program, we are always looking for opportunities to grow and give our student athletes more access to year round training. Baseball fields in NYC are in high demand, and with the weather turning cold, it is imperative that we use the space we have as wisely as possible! It is unfortunately a constantly struggle to find space in and around our building due to other after school programs using the gyms and open spaces, so we have taken to working out in the hallways and equipment room to ensure our kids get their work in anyways.

Having a portable batting cage that we can use both indoors and out could be a game changer for our players.

They deserve to be rewarded for their effort and hard work and this will allow us to safely hit in tight spaces.
