Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are eighth graders this year. I am looping with them so we are going to be together again. I want this to be the best year ever. I will be sending them off to high school the following year. I want my class to be well-stocked and clean.

They often struggle with having basic supplies like paper and pencils.

I don’t want there to be any hindrance in their education. I have to provide these items on a daily basis. Whenever we do reading intervention on the computer, there are not enough headphones. The ones that are available are broken. I would like to have a supply of my own. My day would be so much easier if I could provide pencils for them. There should be no excuses for not completing work. Help me give them a head start by being able to provide their basic needs. I am excited to get started! They are the cream of the crop. They have made it to eighth grade! This will be a year to remember. I am going to decorate with a Hollywood theme. They are the stars of the school.
