This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever wondered what teaching a combo class is like? Imagine teaching a tri-grade combo with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students all at the same time. Can you picture it? If you can, welcome to my classroom.

Being in a tri-grade classroom has its challenges, but my students welcome it with open arms and incredible patience.

Our school is very small but is full of amazingly talented, bright, and unique students. They amaze me each and every day.

My Project

The best learning takes place not only when students are engaged, but when they are comfortable. Sitting all day in regular chairs is hard for anyone, but especially children. In my classroom, I want to offer a seat choice.

When students are comfortable and have a choice in where they sit, they are more focused, engaged, and excited about their learning.

Students today don't have a lot of freedom to move around. These stools will give my students that freedom to wiggle and wobble in their seats, all while engaging their core and helping them focus.

This project will help my students throughout the school day. I want them to feel comfortable while they learn, and these stools will help greatly. Thank you for your support.
