Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we wrap up the year, I always review the best and newest books for middle grade readers and think about which novels my students would love to have access to in our classroom! The books I've included in this project have all been released this year and some have even been on the New York Times' Best Seller List. So much of modern day literature can be overlooked in classrooms, especially when curriculums continue to push older, "classic" texts.

The books in this project are culturally diverse and relevant to my classroom students and their reading needs.

Overall, new books are very rare to have in a classroom. At my school, our library has been closed for over 2 years which means that my students don't have easy access to new books. With your support, we can get newer books into classes!
