This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Engaging in activities like cornhole, Lotería, or kicking a ball, provides students with invaluable opportunities to develop skills that extend beyond the classroom. These games foster teamwork, critical thinking, and motor skills while encouraging physical activity and mental breaks that help students refocus and improve their academic performance. Playing Lotería, for example, enhances cultural appreciation and reinforces cognitive abilities like pattern recognition and listening skills. Similarly, cornhole and ball games promote hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and collaboration, all of which contribute to creating a well-rounded learning experience. These activities offer an engaging way for students to connect with one another, reducing stress and building confidence.

My students thrive in environments that support their creativity, curiosity, and need for hands-on engagement.

By incorporating these games into our classroom, I aim to create a space where students can feel empowered, foster positive relationships, and develop skills that will benefit them academically, socially, and emotionally. Providing these opportunities helps ensure that every student has the tools and experiences needed to succeed and feel inspired every day.
