My Students

"Every child has a different learning style and pace. Each child is unique, not only capable of learning but also capable of succeeding" - Robert John Meehan. I truly agree with this quote and with appropriate resources, children can succeed.

This is a ICT class mixed with general education students and students with disabilities.

All children in this class are enthusiastic learners. My goal as a teacher is to teach my students to love learning. In order to reach my goal, some materials and resources are needed.

My Project

The alphabet and word games and activities supplies that I am requesting for my students are essential. So you might question why I have requested so many games and how can these games benefit children? In fact, we all know that children love playing games and the benefits of learning through play is countless. Here are three reasons why I choose to use games in the classroom.

1.

My students will understand a new concepts or idea, experiment different options, follow directions, and cooperate with other players.

2. Games truly keep students engaged and focused with a purpose. (They want to win or complete a given task.)

3. There are countless skills that students can develop through game playing such as critical thinking skills, creativity, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.

Finally, my students are mostly English Language Leaners and students with learning disabilities, and therefore I strongly believe these interactive games will benefit the kids.
