My Students

Never will you meet a more eager and inquisitive crowd. My fourth grade class includes learners of all styles and abilities, with widely diverse strengths, needs, interests, and backgrounds.

My students are united in their love of learning, but how they access learning differs from one to the next to the next.

Some learn best in a quiet environment while others thrive in partnerships. Some need a chair and a desk to get in the writer's mindset while others get the creative juices flowing when they are sprawled across the carpet. All of them need access to the tools of a comfortable and accommodating learning environment.

My Project

This project will ensure that students have the opportunity to learn through multiple modalities. Students with special needs will receive accommodations such as wiggle seats, and students who need extra support in reading will work in small guided reading groups through the book sets. All the materials lead to a more equitable, engaging classroom that reaches students of all levels and learning styles.

These materials support hands-on, minds-on learning in all subjects.

Whiteboard markers allow students to engage in math lessons alongside the teacher, supporting their grappling with Eureka Math's curriculum. Poster boards enable presentations, supporting achievement to speaking and listening standards. Seat sacks, book bins, and guided reading book sets all support students' literacy goals and their sense of ownership over reading. Every supply has been chosen thoughtfully to support a first year teacher's attempts to support students across a variety of levels.
